What we collect, what stays on your device, and what we will never do with it.
Short version: we collect very little, we don't sell anything about you, and most of what the site knows about your studying never leaves your own browser.
All of that is kept in your browser's local storage. It is not uploaded to us, it is not synced between your devices, and we cannot see it. Clearing your browser data erases it — including your Pro unlock, which we can restore on request.
Payment is processed by Stripe. Stripe collects your payment details and shares your email address and purchase record with us so we can support the purchase and restore access. We never receive or store your card number.
We receive the name, email address, and message you type. It is emailed to info@getdroneready.com through our Cloudflare Worker and a transactional email service. We use it to reply to you.
The questions you type are sent to Anthropic's API through our Cloudflare Worker to generate an answer, and the reply comes back to your browser. Don't type personal or sensitive information into it. See Anthropic's privacy policy.
We use Google Analytics to see which pages get read and where visitors come from. It sets cookies and collects standard web analytics data — approximate location, device and browser type, pages viewed. We use it in aggregate; we are not trying to identify you. You can block it with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or any tracker blocker, and the site works normally without it.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which keeps standard server logs including IP addresses for security and abuse prevention.
The Storm Watch page pulls live tropical storm data from NOAA's National Hurricane Center through our own server, so your browser never contacts NOAA directly and NOAA receives nothing about you.
This site is aimed at adults preparing for an FAA certificate. The minimum age to hold a remote pilot certificate is 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
The site is served over HTTPS and payment runs through Stripe. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep the sensitive parts — card data above all — out of our own hands entirely.
If this policy changes, the effective date below changes with it.
